Dr. Karen Ibarguen Author Speaker Educator Dr. Karen Ibarguen holds a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Parker College of Chiropractic and bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University. Dr. Ibarguen uses Kinesiology and Chiropractic Neurology to evaluate and treat her patients and has been in private practice since 1999. She is certified in chiropractic clinical neurology, applied kinesiology, naturopathic medicine, reiki, and acupuncture. Dr. Ibarguen’s interest in energy work and somatic responses to trauma stem from her personal experience and those of the many patients she has helped to achieve optimal health and well-being. To explore holistic healing modalities and their legacies within ancient traditions, she has traveled extensively to spend time with extraordinary teachers and healers. Among other pilgrimages, she’s walked the sacred Tibetan ground of Mount Kailash with Lama D. Dorjee, spent time with Kogi Mayan elders in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta of Columbia, and studied with Anthony Paul Moo-Young, known as Mooji, in Portugal. She has come to realize in profound ways how meditation and other energy practices unite in the pursuit of health and healing. In addition to her holistic practice, she actively does speaking engagements, healing workshops and self-help workshops utilizing her book as a healing tool: Healing Hidden Wounds: A Journey to Liberation
